Prescription Verification Process

For U.S. Customers Only

According to the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act (FCLCA), any contact lens seller is responsible for verifying the customers’ prescription before selling the lenses (US Region).

How Does The Process Work?

First, you provide prescription information to us, and then we submit it to your prescriber in a verification request. Your prescriber has eight business hours to respond. If the prescriber does not respond within the required time, the prescription is verified automatically, and we may provide contact lenses.

  1. Submit The Copy

To start the verification, you must upload a valid copy (photo/scan) of the prescription. Two methods could be best for you to handle it in the most efficient and most accessible way:

When you create an account with OJOTrend

When you check out in the shopping cart

You can also submit the copy or photo scan to the email: contact@ojotrend.com with your name and order ID.

  1. Verification Request to Your Prescriber

Please provide us with your prescriber’s name and contact methods like email or phone number, and we will directly contact them to verify your prescription as soon as possible. As mentioned above, the Contact Lens Rule allows eight-business-hours response time for the prescribers; if there is no response, the prescription will be automatically verified. In addition, a business hour is defined as one hour between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, in the prescriber’s time zone.

What if I don’t have a contact lens prescription?

You can easily find a doctor near you to schedule a test by some online relevant service providers such as Visibly. Please send us a copy after you receive the prescription.

How To Put In Your Lens?

Always wash your hands thoroughly with soap and dry them well.

2.Check lens

Put the lens on the top of your index finger. Check to make sure the lens isn’t damaged and that the correct side is facing up and the shape like a bowl with the straight edge.

3. Gently place the lens on your eyes

Look in the mirror and hold your upper and lower eyelids open with the hand not holding the lens. Or look in front of you or up toward the ceiling and place the lens in your eye.

4. Roll your eye around gently

Release your eyelid, close your eye slowly, and roll your eye gently to settle the lens in place. If the lens is not comfortable, gently take out the lens, rinse it, and try again.
